Support and Coordination
The Competence Centre for Mineral Resources at the Southern African – German Chamber of Commerce and Industry is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). The Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), as our the central organisation, is responsible for certain coordination aspects.
Exports and foreign trade are important pillars of the German economy. The external economic policy of the BMWi aims to create a better international environment for German companies and to help businesses open up new markets abroad.
The DIHK represent the interests of millions of businesses. The commercial companies in Germany are members of their Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), and all of the 79 German CCIs are members of the DIHK. The AHKs (German Chambers abroad), coordinated by the International department of the DIHK, are representing the interests of German businesses towards politics and administration at 130 locations in 90 countries worldwide. Access to decision-makers in their host countries contributes towards improving the framework conditions for trade and foreign investments.
